Competitive Members with Swimming Queensland are eligble to enter meets interstate. Swimmers who wish to nominate for an interstate meets need a clearance from Swimming Queensland. An interstate clearances may only be requested for meets which have been approved at state level such as interclub, regional and state level meets.
Please note: A clearance does not need to be requested to compete at a National meet.
To receieve a clearance the swimmer must be a financial member of Swimming Queensland and have submitted the clearance request two weeks prior to the nomination closing date of the meet/s they wish to attend.
All Competitive Swimming Queensland members wishing to train or compete overseas must submit an international clearance form to Swimming Queensland to be authorised at state level. The clearance will then be forwarded to Swimming Australia for approval. Athletes must receive an approved clearance before departure.
