Australia's open water program at the World Aquatics Championships in Doha has finished on a high with Queensland trio Nic Sloman (Noosa), Chelsea Gubecka (Yeronga Park) and Moesha Johnson (Griffith University) combining with WA's Kyle Lee (North Shore) to win gold in the 4x1500m Mixed Relay.

It capped an awesome week on Port Doha with Sloman, Johnson and Lee joining previously qualified Gubecka on the Olympic team for Paris with their feats in the 10km and Gubecka's silver medal in the women's 5km.

Johnson started out for the Australians, followed by Gubecka and Sloman, before Lee out-touched Italy's Domenica Acerenza in a gripping final touch to win gold.
