We regret to advise of the passing of SQ and SB Life Member Ted Randle, who served our sport for 50 years as an administrator and Technical Official.
As a Technical Official, Ted achieved the high distinction of appointment to the FINA List as a Starter in the early 2000s, while his off-pool-deck service included long stints on the BSA and QSA Management Committees.
Ted was a much-loved larrikin who livened up every occasion with raw, and at times confronting, humour, endearing him to many people. A unique, irreplaceable character with a heart of gold who deeply cared about swimming and its future, Ted will be sadly missed.
